Rumor has it that Google is starting to update page rank. I’ve been checking the PR of my blogs as reported by 20 datacenters and see no movement. Still, now that the rumors are flying, I’ll probably feel compelled to check every two or three minutes! With luck, BigBucksBlogger will get ranked at all. Heck, a PR of 1 would be better than being unranked!
Google updates page rank once in every 3 months, as far as i remember last PR update was in the first week of May. So we can expect the next update to be in between the end of this month to first week of august.
The end of July or beginning of August seems to be when most people expect it. Still, a few posties think they are seeing sign that it’s early. (I haven’t seen the signs myself.)
I think my PR shows 0 in some of the data centers at all times, not only when Google is doing the dance… I’m wondering if people are mistaking natural fluctuations as the “dance”…
I’m going to pay closer attention after the next update…
At this point, I’m almost certain the people who thought they were seeing the dance were wrong. After all, once the dance starts, you see lots of movement on everyone. I checked several blogs I visit; none are dancing. Yes, there are some zeros– but all other numbers match and are rock steady.
i do agree that Google is updating PR ever three months once. i thought that this Google update has happened at the end of july month. i want one more suggestion from you guys, Is there any tool to list the PR of internal webpages of website at once. do reply please.
@lights shopper: My firefox browser has a “search” extension that shows the page rank of every page I visit. I don’t know any tool that would list every page on a site and show the PR.
