TrafficJam.com Is Coming!
Can It Save Blogrush?
Can It Save Blogrush?
John Reese, the promoter who brought “Blogrush” recently announced “TrafficJam.com”; evidently TrafficJam will help our blogs even more than Blogrush. The Blogosphere seems to have ignored the announcement. . .
But I won’t ignore it! John Reese is now promising loads of traffic through “TrafficJam”, requesting bloggers be patient and telling us feed back is positive. He has also closed comments at his blog. Given this marketing push, I think, bloggers do need to make decisions based on data; sharing information helps other bloggers make decisions.
What’s Blogrush done for Big Bucks Blogger?

Evidently, John Reese announced he’s purged all the bad blogs from Blogrush: Banned bloggers were sent email that began:
We regret to inform you that your BlogRush Account Is Currently INACTIVE. Your blog(s) did not pass our Quality Review criteria. You will find instructions below for making your account active again. You will notice that the widget no longer loads on your pages — please remove the BlogRush code from your blog for now.
Having discovered “The Tampon Blog” through BlogRush, I was curious to see if it got banned.

Behold! “The Tampon Blog” appears to meet the Blogrush Quality guidelines. Here’s a screen shot of The Blogrush Widget which still displays and functions!
What type of blogs got banned? Blogs like Tamar Weinberg’s blog (for not displaying the widget), SEO Pedia, John Cow, Steve Olson, Ramblings of an Affiliate Marketer, Ryan Parker.net, Geology Joe, Dawn and Jimmy, Just a Girl in Short Shorts Talkin’ and SEO Cog who had previously tried, but failed, to quit Blogrush.
Hmmm…..

“The Tampon Blog” MEETS Blogrush Quality Standards?! was posted on October 22, 2007 - Filed Under Social Networking Blogging SEO |Top 11 reasons NOT to link an A list blogger.
Recently, “Hey you SEO biggies don’t be ashamed to link to hard working newbies” hit the front page of Sphinn. I visited the author’s blog, only to discover he was, himself, rather stingy with links. In fact, he’d specifically named eleven A-list bloggers without linking any!
Oh, the irony! A d-list blogger complains A-list SEO bloggers won’t link D-listers, yet he doesn’t link them!
In honor of that post, I bring you …
The Top Eleven Reasons to NEVER Link to an A List SEO Blogger:
- A few of the A list blogger’s visitors or fans might click the trackback and visit your blog.
- They may comment subscribe to your feed.
- They may click on your ads.
- They may have B-D list blogs and link you!
- One or two may Stumble your post.
- The A list blogger might notice your trackback and visit your blog.
- Your visitors may think you faked the comment left by the A list blogger.
- The A list blogger might subscribe to your feed.
- The A list SEO blogger may be familiar with social networks and submit your post to Digg, StumbleUpon or Sphinn.
- The A list blogger might love your blog and eventually link you.
- Someday, the A list blogger may invite you to guest post!
Of course, all this can only happen if you have good content. So, I figure I won’t be invited to guest post at any of these 11 blogs any time soon. That’s why I’m taking the risk and linking out!
